The focus needs to be on why these servicemen and women are choosing suicide in ever greater numbers, not how.  Limiting their access to firearms doesn't prevent suicidal ideations or thoughts of death that are the symptoms of suicide.  We need to focus on why, why, why, and not use this as an excuse to take away firearms.
